Dentures/Partials
Dentures are a removable appliance that replaces every missing tooth and are removed nightly for maintenance purposes. There are many types of dentures custom made for each patient some which may include:

Full Denture -Full set of replacement teeth fixed to an luxurious acrylic base that matches your gums. All teeth are removed and replaced with artificial teeth that rest on your gums.

Immediate Denture- Prior to having your teeth removed, your dentist takes measurements and has dentures fitted for your mouth. After removing the teeth, the dentures are immediately placed in your mouth. The benefit is that you do not have to spend any time without teeth. You will, however, need to have a follow up visit to refit your dentures due to jaw bone changing shape as your mouth heels.

Partial Denture - Dental appliance that is used to replace one or more missing teeth. Partials have metal clasps that hook around your natural teeth. These hooks help the partial denture stay in place.

Implants
A Dental Implant is a highly engineered titanium post which is placed into the jaw bone in much the same position as a natural tooth root. The implant has an etched and sandblaster surface which helps the bone adhere to the implant during the healing process. Approximately two to four months after initial placement, the implant is well healed and is as stable and sturdy as a natural tooth root. At this point, the implant is ready for restoration by a dentist who will place a crown permanently into the implant "root" creating a natural looking, fully functional tooth which appears to be grown naturally from beneath the gum tissue. A Dental Implant is extremely natural looking, durable and has a very good success rate (approximately 90% over 40 years). These attributes have made Dental Implants one of the most sought after treatments for missing teeth.
Implant Overdenture
Implant overdenture is a more secured denture. It is still removable for cleaning purposes. There will be two - four implants placed in the jaw bone that will secure the denture in place. These implants help the denture stay in place. You don't have to worry about your dentures falling or dropping while your eating of talking anymore!

Fixed Implant Overdenture
Unlike the overdenture, this is not removable (fixed). This denture is mounted on four implants and can only be removed by a dentist. If you are a good candidate this would be the best option for you. No need to worry about removing your dentures at night since these can be worn all day. They give the best function similar to natural teeth. A yearly maintenance is required.
